Terms & conditions

Last updated September 20, 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of The Plumber RVA LLC’s website and set general terms for plumbing-service enquiries and work in Greater Richmond, Virginia. Any written estimate, proposal, invoice, or project agreement we provide may contain additional or different terms that control that specific job.

Website use

This website provides general information about The Plumber RVA LLC and our residential and light-commercial plumbing services. You may use it only for lawful purposes. You may not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, introduce harmful code, or copy or exploit site content in a way that violates applicable law or our rights.

Website content is not plumbing, engineering, safety, or legal advice and is not a substitute for an on-site assessment. Service descriptions, availability, service areas, and expected timing may change without notice.

Requests and service agreements

Calling, texting, emailing, messaging us, or preparing a request through this website does not create a service contract or guarantee an appointment. The website form does not automatically send your request; you must use one of the offered contact methods to deliver it to us.

A project is accepted only after The Plumber RVA LLC and the customer agree on the work to be performed. The written estimate, proposal, work authorization, or invoice for an accepted project forms part of the agreement and controls if it conflicts with these general terms.

Estimates, scope, and changes

Estimates are based on the information and visible conditions available when they are prepared. Conditions concealed behind walls, below floors, underground, within existing systems, or otherwise not reasonably observable may require additional labor, materials, testing, or changes to the planned work.

If the scope changes or an unforeseen condition is discovered, we will explain the issue and seek approval for additional work and pricing before proceeding when reasonably practicable. Unless a written estimate states otherwise, it may be revised before acceptance if material or labor costs, site conditions, or the requested scope change.

Scheduling, access, and safety

Appointment times are good-faith estimates and may change because of emergency calls, traffic, weather, parts availability, or conditions on an earlier job. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material delays.

The customer must provide safe, timely, and reasonable access to the property and work area; identify known hazards, utility lines, shutoffs, restrictions, and relevant property conditions; secure pets; and ensure an authorized adult is available when required. We may pause or decline work when conditions are unsafe, unlawful, or materially different from those described.

Customer authority and property

By authorizing work, you confirm that you own the property or have authority from the owner to approve the work. You are responsible for obtaining any landlord, association, lender, or other private approval unless our written agreement expressly assigns that responsibility to us.

Before work begins, remove or protect valuables and personal property near the work area. Plumbing work may require water or utility interruptions, access openings, excavation, or removal of existing materials as described in the agreed scope.

Materials, fixtures, and permits

Product availability, finish, model, and delivery timing are subject to supplier availability. Substitutions require customer approval when they materially change the agreed product or price.

When a customer supplies a fixture, appliance, or material, the customer is responsible for its selection, completeness, condition, compatibility, and manufacturer warranty. Additional time or materials needed because a customer-supplied item is defective, incomplete, incompatible, or delayed may result in additional charges.

Permits and inspections will be handled as stated in the project’s written scope. Fees or corrective work outside that scope may be additional. No person may ask us to perform work that violates applicable codes or safety requirements.

Deposits, invoices, and payment

Pricing and any required deposit or progress-payment schedule will be stated in the estimate, proposal, or invoice. Unless the written agreement provides otherwise, payment is due when the invoiced work is completed. The customer is responsible for approved additional work and materials.

If an invoice is disputed, contact Ryan O’Connell promptly at (540) 993-6897 or ryan.oconnell@theplumberrva.com so the issue can be reviewed. Rights and remedies available under Virginia law remain applicable.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Any charge for special-order materials, work already performed, nonreturnable items, permit costs, or other committed project expenses will be disclosed and handled under the applicable written estimate or agreement.

Workmanship, warranties, and exclusions

Any warranty that applies to a specific job will be described in the written estimate, invoice, or warranty information provided for that work. Manufacturer warranties, when available, are provided by the manufacturer and remain subject to the manufacturer’s terms.

Unless expressly included in writing, our work does not cover pre-existing defects; concealed or unrelated conditions; normal wear; misuse, neglect, freezing, contamination, abuse, or lack of maintenance; work altered or repaired by others; customer-supplied product defects; or failures outside the agreed scope. Nothing in these terms limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.

Limits of responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, The Plumber RVA LLC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from website use or conditions outside the agreed scope of work. We remain responsible for obligations that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Links to third-party services, including Facebook, email, telephone, and text-message providers, are offered for convenience. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, or privacy practices.

Governing law and severability

These terms and any service agreement are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Changes apply to website use after publication and do not replace the specific written terms already agreed for completed or active work unless both parties agree in writing.
